Born in London with schooling and studies in Switzerland, Rex has enjoyed a lifelong travel experience. In 1969 he founded is own travel agency in Chicago, REX TRAVEL, to this day, a highly respected and flourishing agency for the upscale leisure clientele.

Holding the prestigious CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) accreditation, Rex served as a Trustee of ICTA (Institute of Certified Travel Agents), the authoritative, educational arm of the travel industry. He also held various leadership positions with ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and participated on many ASTA national committees.

Fritschi served on various advisory boards of major travel-related companies, such as Alamo Car Rental, Four Seasons/Regent Hotels, Cunard/Seabourn Cruises and Travel & Leisure Magazine (American Express Publishing Corp.)

He is well traveled, having visited over 150 countries and islands from Antarctica to Tibet, from Myanmar to Iran, has sailed on close to 60 cruise ships and has crossed the Atlantic more than 350 times.

Recently, Fritschi created an "intelligent", interactive, travel-related database application called ASKREX. It's unique web-site counsels the online public and recommends a vacation solution based on the users' wants, travel habits, and needs. www. askrex.com is live on the Internet.

To satisfy a strong demand, Fritschi has formed a fee-based consulting service, REX CLASS to assist the public, also the travel, transportation and hospitality industries.

Fritschi, a noted lecturer and a travel writer, is married with three adult children. His hobbies are cooking & baking, sailing, and ice-boating and enjoying his grand-children.. He is a past president of the local Rotary Club.
